The Community Market is a welcoming, in-person shopping experience. Shelves are stocked daily with fresh food rescued from local grocery stores, reducing waste while supporting our community.
You’ll typically find a variety of items including fresh produce, frozen meat, dairy, bakery items, ready-to-eat meals, snacks, and some gluten-free options. Selection varies each day based on donations. Please bring your own shopping bags if you’re able.
Register to shop in the virtual line. Wait times vary depending on the number of shoppers in the virtual line.
“Always friendly and very helpful, upbeat staff that work here. I love coming to the Community Market.”

What to Expect When You Visit
We want your visit to feel calm, respectful, and well-organized. Here’s how it works:
1. Join the Virtual Line
To avoid waiting outside, we use a “virtual line” called Waitlist Me.
You can join:
- From home using the Waitlist Me link (available starting at 12:00 PM), or
- In person by picking up a pager at the door
2. Wait Comfortably
You can check your place in line by refreshing the Waitlist Me page.
When you’re about 15 spots from the top, we recommend being nearby and ready.
When you receive a text that says “We are ready for you,” please plan to check in within 10 minutes. If more time is needed, you may need to rejoin the list. Staff and volunteers are always happy to help if you have questions.
3. Check In & Shop
When you arrive, check in at the front door using your name.
It will take about 10–15 minutes to shop, and our friendly volunteers are available if you need help. Food is restocked throughout the day so everyone has access to good options. Some items have quantity limits to ensure there is enough for all neighbors.
Bringing your own bags helps make shopping quicker and easier.
4. Quick Weigh-Out at Checkout
As you finish shopping, check out at the scale. The iPad will ask for your zip code and the number of adults, seniors, and children in your household. Additional information can help the food shelf raise money for its programs, but it is not required for check out.
Who Can Shop
Community Market is open to all, as often as needed.
Neighbors are also welcome to shop on behalf of other neighbors who need support.
