Food insecurity is at record high levels across Minnesota and our community. 20% of Minnesotans rely on food shelves and other food assistance to feed their families. Serving over 300 visitors each day with programs tailored to meet specific needs, including a walk-in self-serve market (Community Market), curbside grocery pick-up, mobile markets for low-income seniors and college students, and backpack (KidPack) and school pantry programs for children and youth, the White Bear Area Food Shelf is a vital safety net for our community. Funds raised from Heartbeat for Hunger will ensure that those quality programs continue to support our neighbors in need.
